incubation of eggs 6 Years ago Karma: 0
Hi,
I was thinking of making an incubator to encourage my worm eggs to hatch. I am using a 21 day cycle and separate my breeders from the eggs/bedding. I then leave my eggs/bedding in a covered tray and wait for the eggs to hatch of their own accord. This can take some time.... I don't think I am getting nearly the yield I should be getting.

Ti increase the yield, my idea is to use an electric blanket under the bedding to gently hurry along the hatching process and therefore increase the number of worms per egg.

Has anyone done this? What type of blanket is suitable? Where can I buy one/how much?

Thanks

Paul H
