I do not suggest using layer mash on a regular basis as I have found the salt does build up and my population of worms dwindles significantly.
The question here was a fattener, so I am guessing the worms would not be around long enough in a bin for that to become a problem.
I have not used this recipe, or any for fattening as I do not sell bait.
The folks at HappyDRanch.com are more knowledgeable about that part of raising worms.

That's odd I haven't had any problems with layer mash, layer crumbles, or rabbit feed on the worms. Of course I change some of the bedding out periodically. I think that the low amount of salt in these feeds is not a major concern if the bedding is changed.

I take some bedding out for misc. purposes and add new bedding back into the bin.
