Is there a way to look at the back issues of the Digest itself? There are a few articles I would like to review.
Sure, check out the navigation bar on the left and click on "Archived old site". The info from the old site is there.
QUOTE:
Do you think we could ever get a chat area on the website for realtime online discusion so as to not only host qualified experts answering questions but to open up discussion for a variety of topics regarding these forums?
Also, what about a Calendar of Events in the menu area to notify the frequent visitors of special events planned in the near future?
You can find both of these on the navbar un "Chat" and "Calendar of events". Feel free to look around them.
QUOTE:
Could you please explain to us about the karma number rating after someone posts?
Also, I noticed that the news articles on the Home Page have a rating scale. What is that all about?
For karma, it is a ranking of how beneficial that poster is. If you think a person is writing good things, click on the thumbs up... and if not, the thumbs down. This'll give an indication of each poster.
The rating scale on news articles is available so you can rank how useful the news article is. If you like it, give it a high rank...

How can I download an icon next to my name?
This icon is called an avatar. To setup your avatar, go to the following area... click on "My profile" above these posts, click on that and then click on "change my avatar". On the avatar page click browse to find a image on your pc to upload, or choose one of the images in the gallery.

Is Scooter the Admin or are they different people?
My question is what the heck is that syndicate box with RSS boxes in the lower right hand section of the home page?
No, I am just the systems operator and web guy. The admin is a creature we like to call "The Stig". He is kept out in the shed and eats raw meat. Some say that he has no soul.
The syndicatinon box has a set of xml and rss links. If you use a RSS reader (such as bloglines.com or bottomfeeder) you can plug these RSS links into that reader. Whenever a new news item is posted you will see it pop up in your RSS reader.

Post edited by: scooter, at: 2005/09/20 20:30
