I have about 400 or so european nightcrawlers and i was wondering what the best method would be to fatten them up, and increase their length.
I have looked around and it seems that oats are a good choice. Seeing that i have dumped about a handful of oats into the bin to see if it would make a difference. I have observed none yet.
I have also read about Purina Worm Chow, but id rather not go buy a special thing to feed worms.
Can they get really big on just veggie/fruit scraps and oatmeal?
Are they limited in size to the size of the bin? I have an 18" x 16" bin.

On a sidenote, ive had my first "success" with worm composting with these ENC's.

They dont escape when i toss the bin substrate because immediately after i put the bin near a sunny window, lol. Also i see baby ENC's occaisionally!!! (although they may be some of the 50 redworms i threw in there before the ENC's arrived). I think theyre ENC's tho, beacues the redworms wouldve died by now.
