Gee and I thought it was cow burps that caused global warming... must be worms, after all people couldn't be the problem, could we?

Science is always working on global warming these days, so there are lots of articles out there on it. Here's another one on worms and global warming - it says (for those who don't want to read this long and technical piece) that a study made in England found higher temperatures actually decreased the worms' effect on the increase of CO2, meaning they would not aid in global warming, but help minimize it.

Here's another one with an explanation. It basically says the worms keep the carbon and nitrogen "byproducts" of decomposition in the soil instead of releasing them into the atmosphere, so they do not contribute to global warming.

With the cows I think that it is the other end that has to do with the gas. I read an article that said that global warming actually ended in 2002 and we are on global cooling cycle now.

Post edited by: WFike, at: 2007/06/25 18:12
