US Postal Service..is it fair? 6 Years, 4 Months ago Karma: 3
For those of you shipping worms through the mail, here's a heads up. Effective 11-24-05 anything 'live' being sent through the USPS is to be assessed a nearly 1.00 per pound surcharge on any such shipments...this includes the weight of the box, bedding, shipping bag, etc. If you include a pound of bedding for each pound of worms in your shipment you'll be paying over 2.00 per pound more money. In February of '05'they would no longer accept insurance on worms....if they don't guarantee em anyway, what's the purpose? If you'd like to protest, write your congressman, postmaster general, etc. Fair?, I don't think so.....Seeya, Bob
