From what I've found this year would be to stock at 200-250 per sq ft and feed them heavily on 16% rabbit feed soaked in water. Feed 6 days and rest them 1 day. Keep the beds moist as you don't want them to lose weight thru dehydration. Also keep a cover such as old carpet or the agri weed guard material on top of the bed. A little cottonseed meal ground real fine and sifted can be added to the feed, just be sure to monitor the pH when using this and use ground limestone to offset the acid in the cotton meal.

Red hen I thought you were against chicken layer mash. Because of the high sodium content. Such as 3% is what I found. rabbit feed is simular at .03% sodium.

??????

Just wondering???

Are you sure about 3% and not .3%? I don't have my bag for my laying mash but on the layer crumbles bag salt Min is .35% and salt Max is .45%.

When you guys talk about giving them room, can you elaborate? How many worms per square foot in order to fatten them?
I do find that when my eggs start hatching the big worms start disappearing. So does this mean I need to split my bins really frequently?
