I think the ENC's require higher temps than EF's do, and believe they wouldn't survive the cold.

I haven't grown any ENC's yet, but I was thinking about it, since I heard they were comparable. Maybe it was just for their bedding and feed. If I did, I was hoping I could treat them equal. Need more opinions!

Lets try to keep this forum more active

ENC's do better in cooler temps than EF's. As long as your bins or piles don't freeze solid they will thrive in cooler temps.

ENC's do not do as well with temp. extremes as the EF's do. If there isn't a light above them then they have a tendency to leave for no reason.

EF will stop all out put below 40. I had ENC working all winter, in an outdoor bin, without temps dipping into the single digits. EF's dided, ENC kept on going.

ENC are the BEST all around worm in my experience. I am in central Virginia and have more success with ENC because they have a much wider window of operation. They can be a little too wet longer than EF. They can be a little colder and a little hotter than the EF.

They just aren't as horny!!
