this may have come up before, it seems like the worms stay away from carrots...anyone have the same trouble? they are shavivgs that i put in, should i be chopping these up?

mine eat all vegi scraps including carrots you may have to cook them first for faster consumption if not just wait till it starts to rot

My worms eat carrots just fine. I usually grind their food, so that may make a difference. Most root crops break down slowly.

I ground mine up and they disappeared like everything else, but I bet they were one of the last foods to be eaten...

Whole I bet they take a long time to be eaten, and if they dry out, even longer...

root vegetables in general are slow to break up unless you pre-process them. Ohterwise they wouldn't survive very long in the wild!!
