One reason for using Cedar other than for moisture is it runs off some insects. To use it extensively can be quite pricey which is why there is treated lumber. I have never used it in a worm bin, just for decorative purposes and use chips in the dogs bedding (rid of fleas) and in the closet (moths). I don't know what kind of effect it would have on the worms themselves but you might have an issue with benefical insects and microbes. Also keep in mind that cedar dust is an irritant and can be toxic depending on your sensitivities. Larry
