Home Harvester - 2006/10/04 17:42 I am new to this board, however I have been farming Europeans now for about 6 months. I just started today with a pound of Africans that I received from Kountry Kuzn Worms. I have harvested my castings one time so far by using a sieve from the kitchen. Needless to say, it took a very long time to do. The question that I have is about a home harvester that is advertised on a website for $75.00. I don't know if I am allowed to mention their name here. I emailed them last week and again this week requesting information about this unit. My question is: I am concerned about the worm cocoons falling through with the castings and I have heard nothing from the company that I emailed. Does anyone on this forum have any experience with this unit? Any comments would be greatly appreciated.

Re:Home Harvester - 2006/10/04 21:42 from what I can make out of that harvester it has only one mesh size that allows castings to fall through. Seems the cocoons are smaller than castings they willno dought fall through with the castings. Seems to me if you had two of these and the second one had a screen size that wouldn't let the castings through but large enough to allow cocoons through you would have it sussed. Would just mean double screening
