The Right Stuff..Doing the Right Thing - 2005/10/27 17:21 When I went to the mailbox today, lo and behold, I had a whole packet of Worm Digest back issues that I'd forgotten I'd ordered.....Folks, Jamie Melvin, the new Executive Director, the board, and the outstanding staff of the Worm Digest have demonstrated their committment to this fine resource....it's time to back off of the 'wait and see' attitude and get involved. These folks are for real. To move to the next level, lets sign up and post on the forum....ask your questions, share your knowledge and experience, get involved! Education is the whole key to the entire vermiculture experience and any expansion it may have. Seeya, Bob www.trinity-ranch.com

Re:The Right Stuff..Doing the Right Thing - 2005/11/06 15:58 I agree with you Bob. I must admit I have been sitting on the sidelines lurking for the last month without signing in.

Some of the articles in the Latest News section over the last month have been excellent. My schedule was frantic during the month of October, but I heard there is something brewing in Cleveland, Ohio besides the Mayor election on Tuesday. Rumors are that the incumbant may get upset by the challenger.

My friend saw Jamie Melvin in Washington, D.C. last week. He is a great guy. It appears that Sansai Technologies was caught up in some horrible political scenario that was stopping their environmental earthworm business from getting off the ground in Cleveland. Jamie did not talk about it, but my friend heard the story through other people. There are a huge number of supporters in Cleveland that have now alligned themselves with Sansai to get them up and running.

I found a link that you may find interesting. Scroll down the page where it is titled, "Polensek theatrics embarassing".

Bob, I also wanted to tell you I really enjoy reading your posts.

Re:The Right Stuff..Doing the Right Thing - 2005/11/06 17:39 Thank you, Cornmeal. A very interesting link....thanks. Politics are petty, in my humble opinion,... a more self serving, vested interest bunch you'll not find,... wherever you go. From local organizations to the National level, it looks to me, 'The more things change, the more they stay the same!'. their motto seems to be: " Get the money honest if you can, but....GET The Money!" Re:The Right Stuff..Doing the Right Thing - 2005/11/06 18:30 Corn Meal,

I just read your post. Here's the skinny!

Jamie and Sansai are back at it. They never stopped. Sansai has met more resistance and challenges than any other start-up company that I have ever seen in my life. I have been reading about this company from day one.

Sansai's got the right guy at the helm. Bob's correct. Jamie's a straight shooter.

Here's what happened. Sansai got suckered punched right out of the box. But they got up and shook off the cobwebs. Their detractors thought they would lay down and go away.

They didn't. Sansai was completely under estimated.

Their story reminds me of the abused puppy that has been physically kicked for no reason. Then, the puppy is driven out to the country dropped off and abandoned. It then gets hit by a drunk driver and is really hurt. But somehow it gets back up on its feet and continues its way back home. Along the way that puppy grows up and learns to survive until one day, that stray dog walks into your back yard. You take it in, and to your surprise it turns out to be the best darn dog you ever had in your life.

What I am trying to say, is so far Sansai has been wrongfully treated in Cleveland. Yet, when questioned about the controversy, they always took the high road and never complained and never went on the attack in the media. It is as if they knew what they were about to do was bigger than the local political scene.

Not if, but when they get into business it will be a great day for everyone who believes in the earthworm sustainable environmental cause. The City of Cleveland does not realize what a great thing they have just yet. Hopefully, they will wake up, smell the coffee and treat that stray dog nice that they just took in from their own backyard.

I have heard Sansai is going back in front of the zoning board later this month during November. All the power to them. They deserve great success.

Corn Meal, I haven't posted in ages either. I been reading the news articles and I have been very busy with the family. The site looks great. I am sure the web guys are still working on a few more things. I noticed the store wasn't up just yet. I will look forward to seeing that happen.

Oh yeah, I almost forgot. I always enjoy reading Bob Ingram's comments in the forums. Bob you are the consummate gentleman. It is my pleasure posting in your thread.

Re:The Right Stuff..Doing the Right Thing - 2005/11/07 00:03 Thank you, Kaiser. I just look forward to the time we get folks signing up and posting once again. What little bit I know has mostly been gleaned from the Worm digest Forum. I've never looked any of the other board members of the Worm Digest in the eye, though I've talked to some on the phone. These talented, sincere people are real folks...I'm proud to be associated with em. Seeya, Bob www.trinity-ranch.com
