drainage - 2005/11/21 18:45 I have my bins above ground and I live on a sandy hill. I need to be able to keep moisture but at the same time we have a good bit of rain. What would you suggest for drain system? My bins are 4ft x 16ft on the ground. Thanks and God Bless!

James

Re:drainage - 2005/11/21 20:19 James..I am assuming these bins are working now. What problems are you experiencing? Too dry or wet? Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:drainage - 2005/11/22 06:15 James, I'm assuming, or seem to remember, these are wooden bins..do the bins have bottoms on them? If not, limestone or gravel should work well along with a fabric or plastic cover. If so, wood will allow some drainage, but some extra holes would have to be added....any screen over the holes won't keep a worm from escaping, however. Seeya, Bob www.trinity-ranch.com
