Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/04 22:26 Okay..I was just trying to have some fun. I added the image the same way, each time and finally the above post worked. Kind of sucked the fun out of my original post though.. Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/05 20:02 I loved the pic!!! It was too cute (along with your subject heading). My students will love this tomorrow. I'm more challenged than you though because I can't imagine putting an image on here. By the way, hubby was cheating on his diet when I showed him the image!!

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/05 21:14 Great picture, Susan! I had a good laugh! I appreciate that you're trying to use those techie skills. I haven't even tried to get a picture with my name for the forum.....yet.

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/05 22:02 I keep my camera near my bins, just for these kind of shots. I had some candycanes and Jolly Ranchers that had gotten old. I put them in the bins, in their wrappers, because they were too sticky (and I was a bit lazy), to unwrap. The worms not only liked the sugary treats but moved into the wrappers. When I did classroom bins, we would throw in a cotton tee-shirt, cotton tube socks or (the kids favorite), my husband's boxer shorts. Months later, all that was left of the shorts was the elastic waistband with washing instructions. Oh ya.. we had big fun! Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/06 06:04 At the Hike Inn in Georgia where I learned about all this, they throw in all their old linens (sheets and towels etc.) Since the staff also lives up there, they have put in blue jeans too. The only thing left was a zipper and the snaps.

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/06 17:25 My friend out at NC State, Rhonda Sherman, composted her whole futon mattress! I put an old, very distressed, leather steering wheel cover in and it was gone in 2 weeks. Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/07 21:08 Can you tell me more about the Hike Inn? I don't know where I heard about it, but I'm interested in going there sometime. Thanks!

Re:New flavor Jolly Rancher? - 2006/01/07 22:04 The Hike Inn is at Amicalola Falls State Park in Dawsonville, Georgia (which is near Dahlonega). Here is the web site address:
http://www.hike-inn.com/
There is a moderate 5 mile hike to get there and dinner and breakfast are served family style. I love to get up early in the morning and watch the sun rise over the mountain. It is a beautiful place and we go up there every year.
