Newbie to worms - 2006/01/19 15:48 Hi Folks

Lookin for a little insite to the world of vermiculture.
1st is there the the demand for worms as many adds and suppliers of worms make out?
2nd I'm a head gardener here in England and I'm mainly looking at composting uses. We have around five tons of dead leaves a year and what would you guys advise as a suitable method of using the worms and how many would be need for composting down such a quantity in say a year?

By the way I'm find it all very intresting though I don't think that there is the demand here in England as there is in the US.

Re:Newbie to worms - 2006/01/20 22:26 Weedpuller encs would work nicely. I talked to a guy years back that loved leaf mold. I think you have to pre compost them a bit. You should have good luck with leaf mold for a bin or bins lol.
