Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2007/06/25 17:54 Gee and I thought it was cow burps that caused global warming... must be worms, after all people couldn't be the problem, could we?

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2007/06/25 17:54 Science is always working on global warming these days, so there are lots of articles out there on it. Here's another one on worms and global warming - it says (for those who don't want to read this long and technical piece) that a study made in England found higher temperatures actually decreased the worms' effect on the increase of CO2, meaning they would not aid in global warming, but help minimize it.

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2007/06/25 18:09 Here's another one with an explanation. It basically says the worms keep the carbon and nitrogen "byproducts" of decomposition in the soil instead of releasing them into the atmosphere, so they do not contribute to global warming.

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2007/06/25 18:10 With the cows I think that it is the other end that has to do with the gas. I read an article that said that global warming actually ended in 2002 and we are on global cooling cycle now.

Actually I think that the politicians are always working on trying to make global warming work for their cause and there are a lot of articles out there!

Yes! That too!

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2007/12/28 01:15 Well I think it all comes down to what you believe. I think that everything is based off evolution.
Is it at all possible that we are on the opposite side of the ice age?
Dose anyone realize that the north pole is not in a “fixed” spot like the south pole. There is a pic of what I’m talking about on this page. http://csep10.phys.utk.edu/astr161/lect/time/precession.html

But if someone is that sure they know what is causing global warming then they should try this web site. http://ultimateglobalwarmingchallenge.com/entries.htm

Now yes I think that we are killing the earth and our selves but I think there is more about it then what meets the eyes. Dose anyone know that the southern ice caps are growing?

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2007/12/29 09:33 I heard... that oil and higher gas prices offset global warming caused by those SOB worms! -:Mark:-

If we or cows or worms are to blame for global warming, then how do you explain the sudden rise in temperatures on Mars, Saturn, Jupiter and many moons?

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2008/01/04 10:29 non earthworms? You only need two tools in life - WD-40 and Duct Tape. If it
doesn't move and should, use the WD-40. If it shouldn’t move and does,
use the duct tape.

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2008/01/04 11:56 Now let’s not bring the oil in on this. We were at the peak of the oil usage in 2006. Why not a few nuclear power plants so we don’t use oil (natural gas) to make power?

By the way I just passed gas so now we will all die a day earlier. If they keep up the global worming stuff I’ll bust out the beans.

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2008/04/25 18:50 Everybody knows global warming is just what it says..."Global". It's not the greenhouse gasses or earthworms, cattle farts or your deodorant. It's the earth itself, warming up from the inside out due to the gravitational effects of Planet X entering near Earth orbit. The magma in the earth is straining against the pull of the crust towards a global pole shift. There's 20 ft of melted water under the ice caps so when the pole shift happens from Planet X escaping it's orbit and going away from the sun, Earth will be subject to severe gravitational pull and tilt on its axis, thus the pole shift and the ice caps will slide off into the oceans causing all continents to suffer severe tsunami damage of hollywood proportion but even greater.. Earthquakes, volcanoes, massive tidal waves will result. Most of mankind will be destroyed in the shift and those that survive, most will die of starvation. Black Soldier Fly Larvae, Worms and insects will be food for those that are left with a will to survive.

Now that's a reply worth rebuttle. Who's first?

Re:Worms Causing Global Warming? - 2008/04/25 22:15 That's why I don't live in the "real" world! They call greenland "greenland" because it was green when they first discovered it. It iced over with time and is now melting again. No big deal! The polutants will get us sooner or later though!
