Children's book on composting - 2005/10/01 15:30

Has anyone read the children's book
COMPOST B'GOSH? I hear it's available at the
Shaker Heights Garden Center. The author is
Michelle Portman, out of Boston.

Re:Children's book on composting - 2005/10/02 10:33 I have had the kindergarten classes read that book before I do bin building in their classes. It rhymes and the kids enjoy it. They also then have an idea of what we will be doing by the time I arrive with worms. Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:Children's book on composting - 2005/10/03 16:29 That is a great book. "Diary of a Worm" is another really fun worm book for kids (and adults! I have a copy!) Amy Stewart

Re:Children's book on composting - 2005/10/31 13:29 Another good book for K-1 is, "Under One Rock". It rhymes and tells about all the creatures under one rock and how they all work together Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:Children's book on composting - 2006/07/01 16:32 Bobette,
If you are as mature as you seem, you should move up to the best book that I have seen, "Worms Eat My Garbage" by Mary Appelhof.
People with your mental curiousity need to be encouraged to try more difficult ideas. We are depending on you to save the world.
