Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/18 13:22 Bravo! Bravo!

I toast to the new Worm Digest website. It won't be long before this place will be the new Earthworm Central for active discussion.

There has been much change in the earthworm community over the last couple of years. I heard about the guys putting together this website for a long time. For a while I thought it was some kind of urban legand. I never knew if it would ever become a reality.

This website is proof that sometimes good things are worth waiting for. Your timing could not be better.

Good luck to everyone involved.

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/18 13:41 To anyone that knows me,

You already know that I usually chime into discussion with great reserve. In otherwords, I am considered the devil's advocate. When I first heard of the Worm Digest transition, I thought to myself. . .well this is going to be a train wreck.

I watched the old site go pratically unattended for months. I was very critical.

I want to apologize to everyone. The people behind this new website effort are truly gifted and qualified. Anyone that participates in these forums can really learn from them.

If I can chime in from time to time it will be my pleasure and honor.

The earthworm community has to be very proud of this website.

This is how my mama feels when I wiggle. . .

This is how my boyfriend feels when I wiggle in public. . .

This is what my boyfriend's guy friends are thinking when I wiggle in public. . . and

This is how I feel when I am running away from boyfriend after I wiggle in public. . .

Just kidding!!!!!

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/20 13:21 To Everyone!

I just read in the Latest News Articles Section of this website an article describing the individuals who are involved behind the scenes with this new Worm Digest organization and website.

All I can say is, Wow! If anyone has a question about the biology of the worm, it appears we now have a team of the greatest experts IN THE WORLD at our disposal. I hope from time to time some of these individuals will get a chance to frequent this General Earthworm Forum.

I might be wrong but last time I heard, Dr. Clive Edwards of Ohio State University, has written about 30 books and published about 180 published articles relating to the earthworm. He is a legend in his field.

I know I will have some serious questions after everything settles down to earth around here that I have been meaning to ask an expert.

Any way, shape or form that you wish to slice the cake, this will be my new website of choice to visit everyday. I hope others with interest in this subject matter also hear about this website.

Cheers to Worm Digest!!!

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/20 14:30 Jean,

I second the Cheers!

I read your post and I could not agree more. However, you may not have noticed. Dr. Norman Arancon, from Ohio State University, the new rising superstar in the earthworm/entomolgy field is also on board with this website.

He's young, he's cool and this guy is doing some great things with research at Ohio State University. I will be looking forward to seeing his posts in the near future.

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/20 14:53 Well Well Wiggly Girl,

Here I thought when you wanted to be seen, you just wiggled. (LOL)

I have to admit you not only taught me how to use emoticons when I post, but now I have just learned how to make the text larger and to color my text when I post messages. All of this new learning experience is because of you.

I think I am falling in love with you.

Does this new Worm Digest website have a matchmaking forum?

We could have a earthworm wedding out by my wormbeds.

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/20 15:31 Now. . . Now . . .Kaiser,

I am glad that I could assist and I am flattered by the wedding invite and all the sugar that you send, but I must confess I would not be a happy bride in a white dress next to the moist soil in the worm beds. I have to admit, I love to play with worms.

I am learning to navigate these seperate discussion forums when I post messages. I have found the #6 suggestion discussion forum to be very helpful in answering questions from people posting messages on this website.

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/25 09:13 This is working really smooth! We will have a good time sharing information! This has been a worming good summer for me! The worms are thriving. I have two good forums to get more information on. I have been invited to present a vermi-composting program to a local garden club in a couple weeks! We have rain! I'm going to be a grandma for the 5th time!

Re:Worm Digest New Website - 2005/09/25 12:10 Congratulations Judy Ann on number five. I am leaving for the hospital in about fifteen minutes to see my 12th grandbaby. They say they are cheaper by the dozen.

I hope everyone is enjoying the new site.
