Feed for worms to be sold as aquarium fish food - 2007/02/01 15:39 Hi,

I am curious about selling my worms as aquarium fish and reptile food. What I have learned so far is that I cannot raise them quite the same as my composting red worms.

Could anyone fill me in on the "milled worm food" I have read about on line? Could this be chicken mash?

If not, does anyone have a recipe for making your own or at least the ingredients that would be suitable feed for worms being sold in the aquarium market?

I am wondering if the recipe I learned when I first began with just one bin under my sink would be fine. It calls for cornmeal, soy flour and dry milk solids.

Thanks, Organicmama

Re:Feed for worms to be sold as aquarium fish food - 2007/02/02 04:38 I can't see why worms for feeding aquarium fish and reptiles need any special food. I am sure that the worms they eat in the wild are not feed on cornmeal and such

Re:Feed for worms to be sold as aquarium fish food - 2007/11/04 23:41 purina makes worm chow in 25 or 50 lb bags is all i feed for commercial wormming my worms do great in fish and pet store some red wigglers wont do well because they eat so much over a week that they get to hungry and start dying off in your cup and its not wise to put food in cup because it sours and turns bad i do n/c all the way. if they want small worms i just put babies in cups instead of full grown adults.
