Pumpkin seed warning.. true? - 2005/10/31 10:50 I just read that ground pumpkin seed was an oldtime dewormer. Anyone know if this is true? I was going to put all the contents of my kid's scooped out pumpkins into my worm bins, but will put the seed elswhere,(those that we don't roast,)if it might harm the worms. Susan Quinby-Honer

Re:Pumpkin seed warning.. true? - 2005/10/31 11:33 Hi,Susan...no, pumpkin seeds will not hurt your worms. They may be a good dewormer for intestinal worms, but do not harm earthworms. Shoot, a good pumpkin patch will be full of earthworms....Seeya, Bob www.trinity-ranch.com

Re:Pumpkin seed warning.. true? - 2005/11/04 01:17 Hi Susan,
After Thanksgiving last year the folks that I get the produce from to feed my worms, gave me several pumpkins.
I ran them through the shredder with everything else and fed it to my worms. Didn't bother them at all, but a couple of the seeds did sprout.
