But I'll surely sign up if they give good advice.

It appears that the click "here" link to the privacy policy isn't working. I've emailed them to tell them of this problem.

Duncan Carver here. I operate http://www.wormfarmingsecrets.com

Ian emailed me last night to let me know the privacy policy of our website had not been linked to. I apologize for any confusion or concerns this may have caused but it was a simple oversight in not creating the link on the correct page. We have fixed the issue. Rest assured any information provided through our website by visitors remains entirely confidential between those visitors and our company.

Anyone is also able to opt out of our email newsletter and any associated mailings at any time by simply clicking on a link contained at the bottom of every email sent.

Best...

I just checked it out and it went right to the privacy policy page for me. It seems like a good site, I might have to sign up for that newsletter myself!

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/14 23:05 I found WormFarmingSecrets before this site and was thrilled with a place to share and learn. WormFarmingSecrets lets members attach a link to their web site along with their name in the members lists. I clicked on a few of those personal sites and found lots more of information and then some of the members chose to attach XXXXXXXX web sites. I got educated alright. It's horrible. It opens right up to the most lewd stuff and my child was sitting right beside me when it opened. I wrote to both the administrator and to Bentley (a person that answers questions for that web site) but didn't receive any reply. I did get the email newsletter yesterday and when I tried to get on the web site again it didn't recognize my username or password. The web site did, however, offer me a personal membership for ONLY $97.00 for the first year. All I can say is Use Caution with this web site.

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/15 01:34 I was a member of their forum and now it says that I have to pay for a yearly membership of $97. So I just erased their forum from my bookmark list. It's Black Gold!! It's Squirmy Tea!!

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/15 04:09 I'd like to see an explanation for all this. Is that the same Bentley who started posting here a short while back?

How about it wormfarmingsecrets.com??

As far as I understand the annual subscription started a couple of weeks ago (Aimed at covering the costs of running the site) If you had posted in any of the forums before the subscription charge start date, you would have been given FREE life membership. Am I to take from your post that you didn't contribute?

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/15 12:12 It is the same Bentley as far as I know. I can't see anyone needing to pay money for a subscription website for information on worm farming unless they were seriously lazy. Anyone giving advice on the site is grandfarthered into the site and are basicly unpaid employees of the site giving advice. I think that the original guy behind it is a programer who is going to set up membership sites like this on different subjects and plans to retire on the profits. Sounds like a good Idea if it works.

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/15 18:36 I posted a couple of times on wormfarmingsecrets and still have to pay. I think it's got something to do about me complaining about the links to the adult XXXXXXXXXXX web sites. Who wants to see that filth? Good ridance to them!

I saw where there were some people spaming the old forum with their sites. You could tell what that was without going to their sites! I Haven't seem anything like that in the new forums. If all you did was complain, mabye they did not think you had anything to offer their readers.

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/16 13:37 I've been leery of that site ever since this topic began.
As far as I'm concerned, there oughtn't be any worm farming "secrets".

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/16 20:03 I went there when this all started and it asked for email address before I could get past the opening screen. I can't be bothered with crap like that.

It looks like they have slithered underground now.

What a shame. Maybe with a little bit more support it could have been a good resource, Or is it human nature that we don't like others success???????

I am all for others success, it was the links to porn sites that I found a bit odd.

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/18 21:30 They just made the mistake of allowing their readers a little to much freedom to post links to their websites by their name when posting. The spammers out there have automatic "robots" that post to any websites that they can and also collect emails automaticly. You could do the same thing on this forun by posting your porn site in your profile but it would not be avaliable to the general public without going to the profiles page so they don't do it. They just gave a little to much access to the public. First forum I guess.

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/20 16:03 Hello

Im going to stick up for worm farming secrets. Com
I joined the site within a few days of the site being set up; I was the fith member to join. The forum was very popular with lots of new members joining each day and huge sums of posts each day. I read above that some of you were unhappy about the links to porn. This happened 3 time form what I can remember. Above Bentleys name was talked about, yes he is a member but as far as I know had nothing to do with the set up. May I ask you how many of you have signed up for the news letter? How much do you think it costs to Wright and send that news letter out to you all? Now add the bandwidth for the site and it adds to quite a bit off money each month, Duncan does not sell t-shirts or magazines so I think it’s only fair that he now charges to join the forum. All of the members that joined before the charges were put in place SHOULD have been sent an email with a link to the new site; if you did not get the second email either then you could have tried emailing Duncan before running down the site.
The website is still active!!!

I do hope this clears up some of the lose ends that you have

Re:WormFarmingSecrets - 2007/06/20 16:17 Most are not trying to bad mouth the site. I do not like the way I was invited in "Free" and after visiting a few times it was down for about a week and then started telling me I would have to subscribe to a pretty high priced forum. As far as I am concerned don't tell me it is going to be free and change like that without any notice. I hope he has good luck but I will not be there.
