 white mites eating worms - 2005/12/21 09:04 I lefted the plastic covering on one of my bins and found four dead worms covered with white mites.At first I thought they were eggs but then they begin to move real slow.I have heard of red mites eating worms but not white ones. heal the earth with worm farming.

 Re:white mites eating worms - 2006/01/16 21:27 If there is too many worms and not enough food the mites will attack your worms. White ones are a lil slower but if your worms have been weaken by red mites then the white ones will flock to them killing them. Wet down your bin to force the mites to the surface then use orange peels to attract them. Place the peels on the surface and the mites will cover them. Then just remove the peels. To control the mites place some food on the surface of your bins. This will keep them at the top. Another solution is to soak a bin forceing the mites to the surface then use a torch to lightly burn the mites careful to not over heat the bin.
