From what I understand it kills insects because it rides it's way under their exoskeleton, kinda like beach sand down your bathing suit, and pries open their carapace allowing air to get in. They can't retain their moisture levels and basically dehydrate.
I'd think because worms are soft bodied it wouldn't hurt them. They need to stay moist but not in the same way as the hard shelled punks. It'd probably be no different to them than if they crawled through some sand...just juice back up and all is well.
One problem with using that stuff is that it will kill any and all insects that come into contact with it...so you might wanna watch out if you have a garden nearby. Ya don't wanna go murderin' your Lady Bugs and Lacewings and the like.
