Opinions on our new website - 2008/06/10 11:14 We just got our first website going www.williesworms.net. I would like some opinions. I, personally, not sure I like how it is set up. There are a few problems we know about and have asked for them to be fixed. Like it doesn't say shipping included and the paypal buttons are on a separate page but work. I think it looks nice but not sure if user friendly. Anyway, any opinions or criticism welcome. And I can't seem to get it work with firefox.
Thanks

Re:Opinions on our new website - 2008/06/10 11:33 Hi Nellybell,

I took a look at your site (using Firefox) and I must say, I LOVE the look of your site. Your logo is particularly awesome. You are right, though, that it does not seem to work with Firefox. I got only a small version of your web at the top of my screen and could not see much detail in 2x2 inches. May I ask what you used to create the site? If you're able to fix that problem, it looks like you've created a very visually appealing site!

Re:Opinions on our new website - 2008/06/10 11:36 The site is attractive and the navigation seems to work well. The thing that I would take a look at is when the client actually goes to place an order. You have two choices at the bottom for enc and ef. Both of these are hyperlinks to a page with a Buy it Now button. This seems to be more of an Ebay thing than a shopping cart thing. I would probably put a text entry for the ef and another for enc like you have now, but wouldn't make them hyperlinks. I would place an Order button next to each of the choices. The button would bypass the Buy it Now and take the visitor directly to the Paypal shopping cart. At that point, they can choose quantity and complete the transaction. I think it's clear that the shipping is included, so I wouldn't worry about that.

I have some sites that use Paypal shopping cart and these are easy to use, but web sites are totally individual, advice is free and that's usually about what it's worth. So feel free to ignore all of the above.

Nice site.

Re:Opinions on our new website - 2008/06/10 19:33 Thanks for the advice. Our site is done in flash which has created a problem with the paypal. Paypal hasn't gotten back with the developer on how to get the buttons where they are supposed to be. And I think because it is flash is why firefox isn't opening correctly. Have to keep working on that, might have to go to firefox for help on that.

Re:Opinions on our new website - 2008/06/11 02:42 I think your webiste is very professional, straight to the point and very informative.

Can't get much better than that.
