Woods Roaches in My Breezeway - 2008/08/10 22:29 I've been vermicomposting for 7 or 8 years now, but I have one problem I need suggestions for. My Rubbermaid bins are in the screened breezeway between my garage and my house. I live out in the country, and woods roaches often migrate under my garage door and then on into my breezeway. I try to remember to bury the food in my bins, but when I turn on the light at night, I may find one or two roaches on the wall or the floor, and they come to any unburied crumbs in the bin. I use neem oil on my African violet plants, but even with a few drops of dish detergent to break up the neem oil, it just sprays best when the solution is very warm. There's no time to warm it when I see a critter.

Is there anything else I can use?

If roaches carried boric acid into the bin, would it kill the worms?

Thank you.
