Micro home harvester - 2006/01/22 02:14 I have been harvesting my 2'x4' wood bin by hand for the last four years. I place a hand full on an 1/8" screan and shake it through. Half my bin gets me about a 5 gallon bucket.

This is very slow. Has anyone built their own small harvester. I imagin something about the size of a 5gal bucket?

Re:Micro home harvester - 2006/01/22 13:26 Hey, Michael. Amy Weishuhns husband, Jim built one from 5 gallon buckets using the harvester plans on our web site...from all reports, it worked great..if I can find the pic, I'll try to post it here. Seeya, Bob www.trinity-ranch.com

Re:Micro home harvester - 2006/03/18 15:48 Hey Bob,

Your website is GREAT! but when I was trying to put a picture on here, I had to first make sure that I had it easily labelled as a jpeg file and stored on my desktop.

If you do that first, it might make it easier.
Took me a few times reading over the suggestions to do it, but if I'm right, after clicking REPLY to a post, you click on Adding an Image, Select an Image, then Browse, then scroll to find the jpeg file on your desktop. Once you click open and select, it should jump over to your post.

Magic!

Re:Micro home harvester - 2006/07/26 11:21 Michael, I also have just started harvesting my castings for home use, but then my home is 9 1/2 acres, so I intend to increased production; I also have harvested by hand. I recently found a website that offers a small home use harvester, here's the ink. . http://www.wackyworldsof.com/harvester/
