Reds - Is this normal? - 2009/01/24 14:45 When I moved the reds to the newspaper-only bin after the protein-poisoning, most of them gathered into a mass/ball.

A few are wandering around, but not many. When I moved the bedding aside to peek for casualties, I can hear them moving around. They seem sluggish, but alive.

I found one obvious casualty, but I'm not sure if there are more in the mass. I didn't want to disturb them further.

Is this a sign of significant distress, a reaction to the change of environment, or typical under most conditions?

Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks!
Brenda

Re:Reds - Is this normal? - 2009/01/24 15:07 Worms balled up is a sign of stress, which could be just a change in environment.
I would make sure that paper bedding is damp and feed, in 1/2 of the bin, a small amount of soft food.
