WormDigest Forum

New - 2009/02/01 10:34 Hi all,

New to the forum, but have had a small worm project for about 5 years. We used an old chest freezer to start our first bin, mainly for the boys to have fishing bait, and some minimal composting. The boys have decided that they want to get into the worm project on a larger scale. As Dad, looks like I am assigned to do most of the work and also to fund this project. Don't mind, as we have been trying to become more self-sufficient over the past few years. This project will be a great addition to 'the farm'.

Look forward to meeting new friends and borrowing as much information as possible. Figure that the worms, chickens, and huge vegetable garden are all symbiotic to each other.

Re:New - 2009/02/03 12:15 Welcome,

I started the same way 2 years ago.
The kids don't want to sell their worms but they do the compost.

Good luck,

Rob
