Highly recommended EF seller - 2009/04/17 23:53 Hi,

I am new to this very facinating business and have set up 3 bins. One is a WF and two good size plastic bins.

My first order of worms was from a VERY well advertised seller. I ordered 2 lbs and received a bag that weighed bag and all 13oz. Called and they sent a new batch somewhat bigger but way under two lbs. They state that they are shipped in "Bone dry" bedding and can loose some weight in shipping. They arrived in a very dehydrated state looking just about dead. Not very impressed at all......Now the good news.....

I live on Cape Cod and someone here suggested "Cape Cod worms". I couldn't believe there was a worm grower nearby but there was. I called and drove to her home, only 20 min away. This is one VERY knowlegable lady. Her grandmother started the business and passed all her knowledge along to her granddaughter. The two lbs were ready when I arrived and it was a very solid 2 lbs. Ther were all hand sorted and large adults. I couldn't have been more impressed. Wanted to spend the day and pick her brain, and do think she would have been more than happy to do so, but she had a bsiness to run and I had healthy happy worms to add to my three bins. She explained she shipes all over the world as far away as S. Africa.
The price was $26/lb. She should have the website up and running this week.
I highly reccomend her business.

Re:Highly recommended EF seller - 2009/04/26 21:06 Sounds like my recent experience with 5,000 ENCs from a company. I've had daily die offs sometimes throwing away close to 100 worms a day. The ones that I ordered last year from another company was no problem so I think since I'm using the same set up that I've been using with all of the worms it must be more of a prolem with the worms. Needless to say having ordered them for breed stock and only finding a pair every now and then that is mating is disappointing. An old saying about "cheaper is not necessarily better" comes to mind.
