give it a try - 2009/04/19 17:55Hello my name is Rusty i live in oklahoma i am going to try worm farming i have thougt about it for quite some time.Will use the castings for my vegtable garden i plan on feeding leftover vegtables some manure cow maybe sheep.Setup is in my basement a 55 gl drum cut lengthwise 6-1 inch vent holes on each end covered with screen 6-1 inch drain holes covered with screen. Will be using newspaper and pecan leaves for bedding ran paper thru shreder i then ran both thru a chipper and added some aged compost. I put in about 8 inches of bedding i thougt maybe 3 lb of reds i hate to kill more than that at one time.Does this setup sound ok any advice is more than welcome thank you
