 D. octaedra, D. rubidus, L. rubellus: available? - 2006/01/30 14:44 Hi there,

I'm new both to Worm Digest and forums in general. I'm posting from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and I work for Environment Canada in a Research and Development lab. I'm interested in obtaining three specific species of worms:

Dendrobaena octaedra
Dendrodrilus rubidus
Lumbricus rubellus

Does anyone know if there are any commercially available suppliers and/or university labs who would be willing to ship to Canada?

I've posted in two other forums, since I didn't know which one would be most appropriate.

I beleive I have Lumbricus rubellus.
I found these worms in manure piles in my horse pasture and grass compost piles, and raised these worms in my worm bins. I sell some on occasion. They adapted very well to domestication. They have a mixed diet of grass clippings, paper and food waste.
I never had them check for excact speices ID though.
But they fit the discription of Lumbricus rubellus.
I sell them for 15.00 per pound plus frieght.
I can send photos.
I also have have pure wild stock that has moved into decomposed grass piles over the winter too.
