security x rays effect on worms - 2009/05/12 17:28 My friend who owns a coffee plantation in Papua New Guinea is seriously looking into composting their waste for the castings. If it gets to the point of taking some over there, has anyone had any experience with the effect of airport x rays on worms!

Re:security x rays effect on worms - 2009/05/12 21:14 I wouldn't worry about x-rays as much as customs.

Re:security x rays effect on worms - 2009/05/12 21:25 They ship fish al the time on airplanes and the x-ray does not hurt them. We have taken turtles on the plane before in our carry on . they kind of look when they seen them but did not say anything and it did not hurt the turtles, so I think worms would be okay also.

Re:security x rays effect on worms - 2009/05/14 14:12 Thanks for the replies. Guess that shouldn't be an issue. For now, he's checking into the import issues. We'll see what becomes of it.
