worm bin - 2009/05/21 18:07
I have had several different worm bins for years. I often read that worms will eat their weight in a day. I put about 1 pound of food out in the worm bin for my red wigglers and they are still working on the food. I have more worms than when I started years ago. I have also read that the worms should double in about 2-3 months. No way for me. Now I use a plastic bin with screening on the top and screening on the bottom with it raised so the worms will get air. My question is how can I make this more efficient or what is the best style of homemade worm bin for maximum production and easy harvesting?
Thank you, GB
