Question about white mites - 2009/05/23 17:07 I started 3 bins over 3 months ago. All seemed to be going well till this week. I was away for 10 days and when I came home and looked in the bins and poked around there wern't many worms. My guess is that over 2/3 of the worms are gone. There are worms left but the the density is way down in all 3 bins. All the bins do have small white specs that move around. I guess they are white mites. I have read that they will not hurt the worms but something has.
Could the mites be the problem with the population decrease?

Depressed
