I just read your prior posts to what you were looking for involving the resource page.

I emailed Scooter and he thought he could attempt something new with putting the resource pages for the different categories (Earthworms, Machinery, etc. . .) into a forum format, instead of a static page layout.

I know the Worm Digest agrees with you when you wrote, "This page does not endorse any businesses, but has the list to help people find businesses local to them."

I heard Jamie expects quite a bit more traffic on this website in the upcoming months. So, when they were going over your idea, it was brought up in the discussion about the search function at the top of the list of forums when you are looking at the first forum page. His reccomendation was if hundreds of people were posting their products in the resource forum, he wanted it to be easy to use the search function to find what anyone was looking for.

I think they want to experiment. What I have learned is WD definitely listens to the criticism and approval from the posters. Whatever it takes to make it easy and powerful is what they told me. Let's keep an eye on this Resource Forum idea. I am sure they will be coming forth with directions to follow.

I noticed a couple of old friends jumped into the mix yesterday and posted quickly. My main concern is that the forums stay separated, meaning that a business person doesn't end up in the middle of someone's educational discussion thread. Time will tell. Let's see how it works.

I was talking with the Worm Digest people yesterday. They have quite a long list of vendors from all different categories. They are going to contact them and let them know about the new Resource Forums.

With all of the uncertainty of different vendors, the Worm Digest wanted to check out whether or not these companies are still operating. Redhen, you were correct. The Worm Digest will not endorse anyone's product, but they have plans to make this website THE resource website for all who participate in the industry. By remaining neutral they can continue to assist everyone without being involved in favortism. They definitely want to assist everyone by providing educational and resource information.

The new Resource Forum approach is an experiment. They will be watching closely. Thank you Redhen for your input regarding this subject.

Worm Digest might not display favortism, but I have to admit I enjoy your's and Bob's posts alot.

To get your business listed, all you have to do is email your information to the person in charge of the web page and they add your business, description of what you do, and contact information. It makes it simple and not much to wade through.

Those are very cool links. I will email Scooter and ask him to re-evaluate. Maybe he can get the best of both worlds. First, the Worm Digest will imput the data as you mentioned, then perhaps there could also be a search function if the data becomes overwheming with hundreds of companies.
