If I were to guess,(and that's all I can do), I might guess the creature was Black Soldier Fly larvae. Go check out...happydranch.com..and look at their "Invertebrate" page. If it is BSF's, they are the good guys and can eat massive amounts of "raw" organics. Susan Quinby-Honer
