Hi, Melkor. The accepted wisdom says onions are somewhat antibiotic and not good to feed. However, I've found they do just fine as they start to decompose. As you're just starting, I'd add onion and leek in smaller quantities until you're comfortable with your program. Bananas are great, but the peels can be somewhat slow to break down....Seeya, Bob
