Just an update...the Euros are really rockin'! One bin was started with just shredded office paper and newspaper, the other two have the paper along with some dried leaves and trimmings from plants. I only put about 1/4 cup of pureed food in each one. The worms in all bins were working it this morning. They did warm up a bit so I took the lids off and parially blocked the furnace vent in the laundry room. They cooled off quickly. All is well.
Yes, Mark....by Spring I should have lots of Euros. I hope to sell a few pounds when I give vermicomposting programs but I want to keep a good stock for myself for the castings. I belong to a couple of garden clubs so I've got a good customer base for the castings and tea. Besides....there's always room for one more pound!
