Worm Farm / Product Directory Website - 2008/03/13 17:12
We're considering starting a new website for Worms, Worm Farmers, Worm Farms, and Manufacturers of Worm-related Products.
This site will be 100% free.
It will contain listings for farms, places to purpose worms and products from.
It will contain a community-oriented layout, allowing each worm farmer (even the people who just have a worm bin in the back yard) to have a profile, upload pictures of your worm farm and any other material you might have.
This site would be community-moderated, meaning we'd be looking for people who wouldn't mind blogging/linking to news articles they find over the net.
Again, it would 100% free (if there is enough of a demand for us to develop the site). It would be free to farms, and free to users. The reason why we'd be doing it for free is because we're trying to develop a whole sustainable-community network, including a handful of sites. A website about this topic and for the community who embrace is we believe would be popular.
Many of you are correct (I've read a few of the posts on this forum), Google does work great...but Google doesn't allow you to see all the farms on a single website and compare price, location, reviews for all the farms right then and there.
What we're looking for is whether or not you (Worm Farms (Businesses), and people who have Worm Bins) would be interested in a directory website like this which would also house the ability for you to maintain a profile page to share your own troubles, triumphs and pictures about worms.
