Dave, I remember reading (somewhere via google) that chlorine dissipates so rapidly from a hose-end spray-nozzle that there is virtually no detriment to the target area, but I use the filters for my bin & soaker-hose setups. Got a few soaker-hose runs in planting beds and the veggie garden.
Jerry, we call piped-in H2O "county water" out here . That's what I'm on, but I'm thinking about getting a well drilled sometime in the next few years.
When I'm making avct, I leave the bucket bubbling overnight before adding vc.
