Kelp as a Food Source - 2008/04/02 16:25
I've been given around 60kg of kelp paste (pulverized for the extraction of the juice for the fertilizer industry).
As it is in a paste form, it is fairly wet, around 85 - 90%.
pH is around 4.6 according to the plant manager.

The kelp was properly cleaned of all salts prior to it being mulched and then pulverized.
Should I try to raise the pH, and what should I use? I would like not to mix it with any other food source though to see what the results would be like.

Ideas, thoughts and advice needed. If it works, then I can get a free supply of 60kg daily, 7 days a week!.
