new large bin! - 2008/07/13 22:11
Very excited, I've got one of these large bins to start a farm in:
They are quite a step up in size for me, this thing is 1130 square by 770 high (thats 44" square by 30" high) with sloted sides and bottom. It will be between some trees to reduce the 40 deg summer heat off and I'll make a plywood roof.
I figure I can get 1000 worms from my current farms, how long will they take to breed out to a herd size that can feed on that surface area? (I'll be getting food scraps from local shops)
