Re:Sources for worms? - 2008/08/06 23:06
OK, I have read all these posts, but haven't seen this question. I might be in the wrong forum, but I'm going to ask anyway.
I live in North Florida and what is sold as bait worms here are called Florida Wigglers, I need to know what is the differance between these and the Red Wigglers. Is this just the same worm with a regional name? Or, two different worms.
Also, I am starting a small bait worm farm, and would appreciate suggestions on the best type to start with. I do not have ready access to manure, at this time. I do know some local cattle people who might allow me to collect some from their pastures, but do I have to put manure into the bedding mix.
I appreciate all your help. Thanks, Sunshine
