It's not too overly difficult to make a small one. There's some good info at http://www.redwormcomposting.com/reader-photos/johns-homemade-worm-harvester/ and you might be able to make some sense of my multi mesh classifier at http://www.arkiegold.com/MultiMeshClassifier.html and adapt it for worm harvesting.
I'm not real sure how well it's going to work yet but I made a bin along the lines of my classifier. The worm bin is actually the mesh cage that will be suspended inside an enclosure with hinged lid and bottom. I'm hoping to rotate.tumble the bin/cage portion every couple of weeks to remove castings, aerate the bedding and harvest cocoons without having to go digging through the bedding. If it works, I'll share pics and a detailed photo tutorial of building it on my website somewhere.
